Efficient Use of Resources

Data must be downloaded in a timely manner. Given the relative slowness of todays wireless cellularnetworks, it is essential that data is compressed so that it can be transmitted in a more efficient manner.

Today's wireless cellular networks are slow when compared to traditional landline access. Coupled with the physical limitations of the mobile computing devices this means that data must be downloaded and stored in a highly efficient manner. By initially filtering the data and then compressing the resulting data set we minimize the amount of data being transmitted across the network. The data is also stored on the mobile device in a compressed format, and is only uncompressed when accessed by the user, thereby making the most efficient use of the devices limited resources.
